Radio Romania Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Radio Romania mobile app. The EastSide Development website has a separate Website Privacy Policy.

Controller

The data controller is EastSide Development. For privacy requests, contact support@eastside-development.ro.

Data processed by Radio Romania

Depending on the app version, platform, and settings, Radio Romania may process these categories of data:

• App preferences, such as language, theme, playback settings, favorites, and sleep timer settings.
• Technical app data, such as app version, device type, operating system version, diagnostics, crashes, and performance information.
• Purchase and subscription status provided by Apple App Store or Google Play when premium features are used.
• Advertising-related data if the free version displays ads and the relevant advertising SDK is enabled.
• Support messages and information you choose to send by email.

Radio streams

Radio Romania does not own or control third-party radio streams. Broadcasters and stream providers may process technical connection data when your device connects to their streams.

Why data is used

• To provide app functionality, playback features, favorites, and preferences.
• To restore purchases and manage premium access.
• To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, improve reliability, and prevent abuse.
• To respond to support and privacy requests.
• To comply with legal, tax, accounting, and app-store obligations.

Lawful basis

• Contract, when processing is needed to provide requested app features, purchases, subscriptions, or support.
• Legitimate interests, for app reliability, crash diagnostics, fraud prevention, and responding to messages.
• Consent, where required for optional analytics, personalized advertising, marketing, or similar non-essential processing.
• Legal obligation, where processing is required for accounting, tax, consumer protection, platform, or legal compliance.

Third-party services

Depending on app version and enabled features, data may be handled by service providers such as Apple App Store, Google Play, Firebase or Google services, Google Mobile Ads, app-store payment systems, crash diagnostics providers, radio stream providers, and email providers used for support.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside Romania or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are handled using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, provider data-processing terms, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Retention

• App preferences stored locally remain on your device until you delete the app or clear its data.
• Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and maintain reasonable business records.
• Crash and diagnostic data is kept according to the retention settings of the relevant provider.
• Purchase records may be retained as required by app stores, accounting rules, tax rules, and fraud-prevention needs.

Your rights

If GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, request data portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In Romania, this is ANSPDCP.

Children

Radio Romania is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
